Susan Erspamer

Susan Erspamer, a seasoned non-profit leader with more than 30 years of experience.

Susan's experience has been with Affirmations, the Alzheimer's Association - Greater Michigan Chapter; and the Wayne Center. She has a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Michigan State University.

Grants and Development Manager

David Cipriano

David Cipriano was born and raised in Lake Orion, Michigan. David received his Associate’s Degree from Oakland Community College and his BA from Albion College, majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Public Policy.

David brings with him experience in local and state government from drafting proposed legislation to re-zoning and amending municipal ordinances. With a passion for development and giving back, David is excited to help Hospitality House grow and build new relationships within the community.

AmeriCorp Vista

Michelle Brown

Michelle comes to Hospitality House as an AmeriCorps VISTA. She is currently studying for her Masters of Social Work at Eastern Michigan University, where she also graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy.

Michelle has resided in the Commerce area for her entire life. She is excited to work with those within her community to make sure everyone has access to food. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and pet sitting cats, dogs, and other critters.

Operations Manager

Raymond Sherlock

Raymond Sherlock comes to Hospitality House with over 40 years of Director level experience in Operations, Materials and Supply Chain Management experience with several multi-national companies including Kraft Heinz, Honeywell and PriceWaterhouse Coopers.    

Ray has been a Volunteer, Board Member, and Staff Member at Hospitality House for over 20 years.  His passion is teaching, mentoring, and developing people to achieve their full potential.

Mr. Sherlock holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Engineering Science from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Carnage University and a Certified Professional in Production and Inventory Management.

Ray lives in White Lake with his wife Michelle. and has 4 children and 9 grandchildren.

Operations Coordinator

Mark Depa

Mark holds a bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University in Political Science.  Mark has also attended several other Universities earning certificates from the University of Windsor, the University of South Florida, Forester Institute in Costa Rica, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Mark is an avid golfer and enjoys golfing with friends on a regular basis.

Prior to joining Hospitality House as Operations Coordinator, he was a dedicated volunteer for several years.

Judy Evola
President of the Board

Judy Evola

 

Judy Evola is the recently-retired , 19 year Director of Community Relations and Marketing with Walled Lake Consolidated School District. Prior to working with Walled Lake Schools, Ms. Evola worked with Plymouth Canton Community Schools for more than seven years in the same capacity. She has also worked with Dearborn Public Schools, a non-profit association, a daily newspaper, a public relations agency, and a software company, in various communications positions. She has a bachelor's in journalism from Central Michigan University and a master's in public relations from Kent State University. For Ms. Evola, it is an extreme privilege to work with the entire Walled Lake School community to support and benefit our children and families. Judy is humbled to serve on the Hospitality House Board and is grateful for the collaboration Hospitality House has had, since its inception, with Walled Lake Consolidated School District. She also serves as the Board Vice President on the Walled Lake Schools Federal Credit Union and as a trustee on the Walled Lake Schools’ Foundation for Excellence Board. She enjoys gardening, traveling, decorating and cooking.

Kevin S. Terry

Kevin is a dedicated and accomplished Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector.  He is adept at financial management and accounting and tax compliance matters.  As Treasurer, he is committed to upholding financial best-practices and leverage his knowledge to drive fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sustainability.

Kevin lives in Wixom and raised three daughters in the community.  He’s a long-time support of Hospitality House and enjoys sharing his time and talents with his community.

Howard Dembs

Howard received his B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University.  His background includes marketing and advertising campaigns for a host of branded products as well as extensive experience in marketing and communications in the non-profit sector.
 
He is currently retired and spends his time delivering Meals on Wheels as well as being a volunteer at Hospitality House.  He is also a board member with Metro Food Rescue.  Howard resides in West Bloomfield with his wife Terri.  He enjoys boating, golf and reading.

Alex Petrik

Alex earned his bachelor’s in marketing from Valparaiso University, his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and is currently working toward his MBA from the University of Iowa. He spent several years in private practice as an attorney, and now works for the Rock Family of Companies as associate counsel focusing on labor and employment issues. Alex, a lifelong resident of Commerce, resides there with his wife and one year old daughter, and is looking forward to giving back to the community he grew up in.

Deneen Macedonia

Deneen Macedonia is thrilled to be joining the Hospitality House Board in 2022.  Deneen is a Business Development Consultant with Trion Solutions in Troy, Michigan.  She graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Education in Speech Pathology/Audiology and received her Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Minnesota - Duluth.  Since 2012, she has proudly served on the Board of the Franny Strong Foundation promoting awareness of and education for vaccine-preventable diseases.  Deneen is a native of Steubenville, Ohio and a resident of Commerce, Michigan for the past 10 years with her kids and bonus kids ages ranging from ages 10-18.  In her free time she loves all things waterskiing, boating and all water sports.

Denise Montgomery

Denise Montgomery

Denise has been a volunteer with Hospitality House since its inception in 2002 and was instrumental in developing many of the operational policies as well as a strong relationship with Walled Lake Consolidated Schools. As an entrepreneur involved in a variety of local businesses, Denise’s community involvement is seen as she fosters awareness, promotes events, works with clients and their families, mentors school committees and fund raising for the pantry.

In 2010 Denise, was awarded Paul Harris Society recognition by the Lakes Area Rotary Club for her personal choice to place Service Above Self.

In addition to being Vice President, Denise is also the Fundraising Chair.

Sandra Noonan

Sandra Noonan joined Hospitality House as a volunteer in 2021. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2022. Sandra and her family are twenty-five year residents of Commerce Township. She was an active volunteer in the Walled Lake Schools throughout her children’s school years.

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Ryerson Polytechnical University in Toronto. She is also a Certified Medical Assistant. Her career included working for large multinationals and Health and welfare Canada. She retired from Henry Ford Health in 2021.

Sandra is excited to be a member of Hospitality House Board of Directors to assist the food insecure in our community.

Michelle Bianco

Michelle Bianco is a long-time resident of Commerce Township and with her husband has raised two daughters who attended K-12 in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District (WLCSD). Volunteerismn for Michelle has included leadership and supportive roles with the WLCSD’s PTA/PTSAs, Citizens for Walled Lake Schools Committee, and Orchard United Methodist Church. Her community engagement was furthered through serving as the Executive Director for the Foundation for Excellence-Walled Lake Schools for nine years. Michelle’s background also includes receiving her Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, which enabled her to pursue positions within human resources.

Michelle has always admired the Hospitality House Food Pantry’s commitment to make a difference in her community and beyond and relishes the opportunity to now lend her energy in support of the Pantry’s mission.

Meagan Tehako

Meagan Tehako joined the Hospitality House Board in 2022. She serves as the Marketing Manager for West Bloomfield Parks where she can be found working with sponsors for upcoming events, designing brochures, managing social media, maintaining the website and working with community partners on upcoming events. She received a Master's Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in non-profit management from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree, majoring in integrative public relations, from Central Michigan University. Meagan moved to Commerce with her husband in 2020 and looks forward to help serving the community she lives in.

Chris Sommer

Chris received a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and his MBA from Michigan State. Before his recent retirement, Chris was a partner in a successful business and worked for several corporations in both aerospace and automotive, He specialized in technical sales, market and product development.

Chris and his wife Stephanie have lived in Commerce Township for almost 30 years. They have 3 beautiful daughters and recently became grandparents! Chris is an advocate for volunteerism and strives to be forward thinking in all endeavors.
